Keep Greenside Green · Community campaign
Keep Greenside Green is a resident-led community campaign. We are making local people aware of possible development around Greenside and organising our community to stop inappropriate development on this valued green land.

The current situation
The council is asking residents what issues, evidence and priorities should shape the new plan.
It is also asking what its vision and objectives should be, how growth should be distributed, and how communities should be involved in later stages.
It is not deciding individual site allocations at this stage. Land submitted through the separate call-for-sites process has no additional planning status and will have to be assessed before the council decides whether any site should progress.
The proposed plan period runs to 31 March 2045. Further consultation on proposed plan content and evidence is anticipated in summer 2027, followed by consultation on a complete draft plan in spring or summer 2028.
